Grace and peace to you from Izmir, Turkey! We are all exhausted but we have arrived. There are 44 of us on this LSTC "World of the Bible" trip through Turkey. We are journeying in the footsteps of Paul and the early church, along with many of the churches in Revelation. We have already had quite an adventure with the weather we left in Chicago, the 44 of us making our way through the Istanbul airport to catch a connecting flight, and a few lost bags (which will hopefully be returned tomorrow). We have a full day tomorrow as we begin our journey in this beautiful place that has already been so incredibly welcoming and gracious. We flew from Istanbul to Izmir as the sun was setting and I already knew I was going to love it here. I feel blessed to be on this journey and I am excited to bring other voices to this blog. We will update as we can and we look forward to sharing in this journey with you!
